A Pit of Water Bangkok Thailand Risk Management dtubesnap plus
I was astounded by this pit of water open for anyone to fall into on the pathway to my "Big 711" in Bangkok Thailand. This would never fly in the states. Barricades would be placed, and warning signs would be posted. But in Thailand, nobody cares.
You access the area inside the pit by two cement squares placed on an angle. If the worker was not doing the floors, tables would be in that area and people would be eating their meals from the restaurants in this mall.
Also notice the tiny little decorative fence on the inside edge of the pit. People sit there and eat. I would fall backwards for sure.
No one is stealing the unattended water bottles on the tables past the pit. Bangkok is a never ending wonder to me.

Howdy fitinfun! lol. that's crazy..what is that pit anyway, is that supposed to be part of the design like a fountain or something? wow. Being from Risk Management that had to freak you out!
How old were you when you ran away from home?
This is not a fountain! It is just a pit of water!!! People step across in the "less wide" areas to get in and out all the time. This is just part of the design, and yes, did freak me out each time I passed. Ladies eating in their pretty dresses while sitting on that railing was the worst to see!
This first time overnight, I was 13 and then pretty much back and forth throughout my teen years. I would like to stress that my parents were both wonderful people and did everything they could to help me and get me back from where ever I would end up - thousands of miles away at times. I definitely put them through hell.
When I was in my twenties, I was married with a step-son and ultra-responsible. He turned 13 when I was 24 and I thought, "What a baby!" That was a big wake up call to what my parents went through with me.
wow fitinfun you have a lot of wisdom to share with kids and young people if they will listen. Your parents sound wonderful!
They were - I miss them both so much. My mom never knew I lost weight and I hope she sees it now. My obesity was something she hated.
Everyone should listen to me lol, and I do not know why they don't! My son has said 1000 times, "please stop talking mom."
