Just A Little More.
I can feel but can’t find the words to describe to you the things I feel. I could say “it’s amazing” and you’ll try to picture that but what your mind comes up with will be based on how much of a limit you’ve placed on it over time.
If only there was a way I could effectively communicate my feelings the same way I can pass you an ice cube so you could feel the same cold I felt. If only...
Then there’d be no reason for you to doubt me or think I just make stuff up whenever I want.
If only there was a way I could carry my thoughts, in its entirety, and deposit them in your mind so you never miss the context or misinterpret my intentions. Maybe you’d be able to see the battles that happen in the process of translating thoughts into actions.
The quest to be politically correct often dilutes the raw emotions we really should have let out. On the surface, it seems like the right thing to do but is it really?
If I could effectively communicate my plans or clearly show you a picture of the future I see, will that make things easier? Even if it’s just a little, I’ll take it.
If we could both get plugged in and sync our files, we both get a clear picture of what’s happening and what’s to come. We can literally be on the same page, reading the same words in the same context.
Context!
Very important.
It won’t always be perfect. Like with everything else in the world, it’ll have its flaws. We could get hacked while trying to sync and get fed with lies. The hacker could probably feed you one information and feed me a completely different version. A lot of things could go wrong.
But, imagine the joy and fulfillment you’ll get from being on the same page with the person you care about. Imagine being able to see for a fact that this person loves you just as much as you love them. Imagine being able to truly feel someone else’s emotions like they were yours.
Stories will no longer be “just there” or feel like they’ve been made up. You get to appreciate people a lot better when you see where they’ve been and all they’ve been through. Maybe the world could become a little more compassionate. I’ll take “a little more” any day!
