Let me share a little story about why I am back for a second week in a row... and intend to become a fairly regular contestant (God and electronics willing.) I have promised myself that I would just participate. I have no expectations of getting rich or famous, of winning anything or even garnering fans. It makes me practice my music. It reminds me of a slightly risque joke... The man with the tiny penis unzips for the first time in front of his new girlfriend. She bursts into laughter and says "Who do you expect to please with THAT scrawny thing?!"
He replies "Me."

I play to amuse myself.
I think there is something very special about Open Mic and the various "copy cat" contests on steemit. I have no desire to play anywhere but my living room and I prefer to play when I am alone. I can do that AND share it with this community, that is rather awesome. Live music is FUN. It is raw, it is real. It is not over-produced or under-dressed. I have not sen every entry but I have never seen one that is vulgar or hateful. I want to be part of that. I am not out to prove I am a fabulous musician, I already know I am not. If you follow me for long, you will see me trying to play things and really not doing a great job and you may wonder why I would post such an error-riddled entry... It is because I love to play, so I do. I love Beethoven especially, he is why I play piano. I play several of his pieces - very badly because my hands are not really big enough to play Beethoven. I was forced to forgive my little hands, I hope you can do the same.😁 (I tried not playing for many years, that was a bad choice.)

Today, I am not playing Beethoven. That does not mean I am posting the monster hit. It is just the song I felt like playing for what should be obvious reasons. It is not well rehearsed but it is not terrible... I hope... This was not really intended to be my "final take" but my camera and computer have stopped speaking to each other and so far I am unable to negotiate a truce between them. This is the only take I had already uploaded, so here for your consideration...
