King of Opihis

This is one of the biggest opihi I've seen. Saw it while fishing the coast of South Kona. It's circled in the picture so you can see it. The reason why it has grown as much as it has is probably that it was well camouflaged with its color and in a spot where waves were crashing that would be too dangerous to access by humans. Long live the king of opihis!
