AI vs Professional Gamer
During The International 2017 (also known as TI7), a yearly Dota 2 Tournament organised by Valve, a professional Dota 2 player faced off with an OpenAI bot.

The special event was held after the main event of day 5. An experienced Dota 2 pro player - Danylo “Dendi” Ishutin was invited on stage to have a showdown with the AI Bot. However he was outplayed and crushed in the 1-on-1 game mode to his dismay. He forfeited the remaining matches in the Best-out-of-5 series after being defeated twice by the AI-Bot.

In the post-match interview, Dendi shared his experience from playing with the AI-Bot. "It's too strong", Dendi exclaimed. He described that his opponent feels like a human, but a little like something else. "I need more time i guess", he said, "Maybe if I play lot of times I would find out how to overcome this."

Just last year, a computer defeated a top-rank Go player, and now a bot defeats a professional player in E-sport industry. The Dota 2 bot was Elon Musk’s $1 billion AI startup. OpenAI’s Greg Brockman explained that this bot was trained by playing against itself. The idea of 'self-playing' is what made the bot so strong, as it will come out with better solution after playing again and again under a variety of circumstances.

For now, they have a bigger plan of develop a team of bot which can compete against human pro players in the 5 vs 5 game format. This would be a difficult and challenging task as teamwork is an important factor, thus communication between bots have to be considered.
Let's just pray that Skynet does not appear one day to take over and human does not get obliterated :D
Maybe I would talk more about AI in future posts.
PEACE OUT!
I saw the match, the bot also beat Arteezy, Sumail, Pajkatt and many other Pro DOTA Players. With a powerful AI like that and removing the human error it is pretty difficult to beat it. That is AI Technology for you.
AI is literally getting better at everything than humans. AI will be running the planet soon and there will be no need for us stupid humans!
