I guess he'll have to make it illegal to push the rifle away from yourself as you hold your finger in the trigger well also. har har
That means YOU are still allowed to have a "bump stock," too. Because literally what he is doing is unilaterally declaring that the legal definition of "machine gun" (26 USC 5845) includes bump stocks. If you did all the tax bullshit to get "permission" to have them, you're fine. (Yes, the definition of "machine gun" is in Title 26, the federal TAX CODE.)
Perhaps this is a cash grab, another tax, and they just want to be able to charge all the people who bought and own a bump stock with the tax stamp fee? It could at least be part of it.
