50 cents

in #money10 years ago

So thus far on Steemit I have written a moderately well thought out introduction as well as a few short articles on a few of the things I am passionate about. I don't expect to get rich using the platform and I expect to continue posting mostly about fantasy novels with the occasional sports or personal story thrown in.

That being said, my highest earning post to date is a nice, round, 50 cents. In honor of that, I want to see if a literal picture of a half dollar is worth more than my most profitable writing to date. So lets have the steemians decide- What is more valued here, my thoughtful posts on topics I genuinely care about or a picture of currency?

Well, there's your answer! Your picture of a 50 cent piece is already worth 1 cent, whereas telling us you once hit a llama with a snowball wasn't worth a darn thing.

Perhaps people are more pro llama than I thought

If you put in as much effort into your other posts as you have this one.. I can see why you've earned a whoppin' 50 cents.

Original content is king here. Folks are willing to pay top dollar for it..
But don't think for a moment you can shovel them shit for a massive profit.

Well, as I stated, my intent wasn't exactly to strike it rich. Just wanted to find some people interested in the same things

Ah. Fair enough. I'd almost maybe look into pioneering new tags.

You could be the first person to use a tag.. set up proper etiquette on it and let it draw in like minded folks. #rekt is an example of an unused tag I started using. Good luck on your future post and finding your peeps.

Understandable, I am posting most stuff under #fantasy, I mean my next post will be a review of the Fiovanar Tapestry, a fantasy trilogy by Guy Gavriel Kay that came out in 1984. Something tells me that isn't exactly top of mind for most people these days lol

Maybe Pure Luck might help. Its like playing the slot machines.

I'm sure luck plays a big part in it. I think the safest bet for me will be just posting about the things I really like and eventually meeting like minded folk, regardless of how much a post earns/doesn't earn

Keep up the great work @fingolfin

Hi! This post has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of 10.5 and reading ease of 65%. This puts the writing level on par with Michael Crichton and Mitt Romney.
