We are a couple of hours before Christmas in my country but in many others it's 25/12/2018 so to everyone reading this Merry Christmas! I don't know if you are familiar with Greek tradition and honestly i don't know if this is a tradition that only us are doing or it's the exact same in other parts of the world too. 

During the Christmas holiday period we have 3 times that kids go out and sing Christmas songs house by house. The first 2 times are before the year ends and the other one is after. Today or to speak more generally cause of the different time zones, during 24/12/"insert year" is the first day of Christmas Carols. 

To tell you a bit about the concept of this tradition, it is supposed that anyone but mostly kids can go out with their little triangles and sing the Christmas Carols about Jesus birth. Kids form teams, some of them know how to play some musical instruments too and spread out in the first morning hours that the sun rises. 

These little fuckers (among them me when i was a kid) don't just go out wasting all day that they could easily sleep,eat or play video games just for our entertainment nor because they give a fuck about Jesus birth. In fact they are after money! In an essence you can say they are little gold diggers! 

The whole concept of this tradition is for kids to go out and sing the songs and the adults to give them as much money as they want just for that, so as you can expect it's the first time in kids lives that wake up so early. When i was a kids this was a pretty fun adventure because i had formed a "team" with the friend of mine.....not more because that means we get to share our money with another one, so less money for everyone...... and went our for our adventure. During that time everything was awesome cause as small kids we get to walk long distances, have courage to go to random houses and shops, manage our money, learn our town better and ofc have some fun.

Nowadays though with the criminality rate at an all time high everything feels like shit and here is the part that will include all the types of Christmas Carolers that you gonna meet nowadays:

1) Opinionated Mothers 

I get it and i am in favor for parents coming with their young children because times are tricky, many thieves walk among us as well as pervert. So this is for the best, parents need to safeguard their children and honestly i would do the same especially due to the fact that i have a pretty good idea what's happening in my area regarding that matter.

There are though some moms and i repeat mothers, (cause fathers usually don't give a fuck) that give you looks when you give the money to their children. The mean looks sometime followed by comments like "mmm 1 euro" "50 cents, nice......nice" or when they walk down the stairs or are a little bit outside of the house "only 1 euro? ah cheap people these days"

First of all bitch i am not obligated to give a single cent to your kids. Secondly, if wanted i could easily click on Youtube the same Christmas Carol and listened to it in a 100 different versions, i am just nice enough to open the door and listen your kids that haven't even learned the whole song or even can't speak. 

Ahh and one last thing. I don't give money to only one child so if you sum the amount it's quite something and don't tell me the "but you just make some kids smile" You learned you children that money are all that they should care, i remember even if i got a sweet or a chocolate i was quite happy! 

2) Slutty Women 

I don't know what this new trend is but i see girls that are close to become 18 years old or some that are 18-20 but look a bit younger, wearing a bit of slutty clothes and go to houses to "sing the Christmas songs". The fun thing is that that it works cause many helpless men not only opening the door but giving them quite a bit of money in some fail attempt to show that they are "rich" and get some numbers....but we all know what they get ;)

3) Grown-ass Men

The same thing but more intense is with Grown-ass Men that are going by 3-4 and expect to get money out of us. Listen to me bros, go and do some proper work, you had your time when you are were kids, let the children have they fun and don't try to take a cut. 

If you think that we are that stupid that can't understand if you are old enough a tip for me would be to shave your fucking beards that are longer than mine! 

4) Gypsies 

The worst of the worst. Not only they go in groups of 5-6+ or more, they usually have to 1-2 young kids and all the others are over 17 years old. Not only they have no shame but when you say to them no, they demand to come into your house or giving them some money. 

The only thing i am gonna give you is the sound of of my closed door and if you insist then say the hi to early Santa named Police that gonna take you into a warm place till the day is off. I can say much worse things but you know this is the blockchain and i am a a citizens than accepts and abide to the laws :p

How To Deal With These Types

Every problem has a solution and here am i to do the dirty work and provide you with some quick ones:

a) Never Open Your Door!

b) Go out for a Coffee,walk or to buy Presents!

c) Give to every single one of them 1 cent. Not only you will never seen them in the next Carols, but the word will come out and nobody will ever visit your house!

d) Ask the grown ups for ID!

e) Reply in another language. You can even create one of your own!

f) Visit Another Country!
