Pablo Escobar: "The boss"

Born on December 1, 1949 in Medellin under the breast of a peasant family, began to show insight and cunning already in primary school and in the early days of high school, one of his qualities became evident, his leadership over his peers.

Escobar and his cousin Gustavo Gaviria Rivero did small "businesses" at the Lucrecio Jaramillo Vélez high school, where they both studied. They raffled, exchanged comics, sold exams and lent money at low interest. In this way, Pablo Escobar began to develop his "ability" for business and commerce.

He began his criminal life in the late 1960s in smuggling, and in the early 1980s, he became involved in the production and marketing of marijuana and cocaine abroad.After forming alliances with Carlos Lehder and Jorge Luis Ochoa, Escobar founded the Medellín Cartel, a cartel that would control more than 80% of the distribution of cocaine worldwide and mainly to the United States, despite their differences they needed each other, Ochoa was a businessman, Lehder had the contacts for marketing and Escobar was a murderer, the one of dirty work.

To excuse his immeasurable capital, in the early 1980s Escobar tried to polish his image through charity work for the unprotected and a brief incursion into politics, taking a seat as a representative to the chamber in the National Congress in 1982.

After the consummation of the National Constituent Assembly in 1991, which gave Colombia a new constitution and prohibited the extradition of nationals to the United States, Escobar decided to submit to justice on the condition of being confined in the Cathedral, an ostentatious prison located on its grounds.

However, after proving that he was still committing crimes behind bars, the government wanted to capture him, so Escobar escaped easily from the back of the prison, which was one of the most shameful episodes for Colombia's prison authority. After his escape, the government formed the so-called Search Block to recapture him and after seventeen months of intense search, he was shot on the roof of an exclusive sector of Medellín at the age of 44, the drug lord had fallen, a life full of luxuries, riches and sins was over.
