Up High on the Mountaintop For a Blind Date | Gaia Cafe and Crafts
Gaia Cafe and Crafts is the famous cafe from the Filipino movie, That Thing Called Tadhana (That Thing Called Destiny) where the lead actor and actress stayed at a cafe for the night. I fell in love with the cafe at that moment despite not being able to see it in daylight and I decided to visit the place.
We visited this cafe on our last trip to Sagada in the Mountain Province. This cafe that looks like a tree-house can be found beside the road that leads to Sumaguing cave. We stayed for a few hours in here as some of our friends went to go spelunking (we already did on our first visit so we opted not to go).
The inside of cafe was filled with crafts that were either for sale or on display. There were also photos from the movie that made it famous.
This cafe was a vegetarian cafe that offered us pasta, sandwiches, meals, coffee and yes..cold beer. We ordered some hot coffee and pasta and ended the stay with a few bottles of beer.
Why stay here for a blind date?
The airy environment...the stunning view of the mountains and the serenity in the area would make up a perfect date...one that would make one to just stay there in that place...trapped in that magical moment.
