In the book "The Story of Film" by Mark Cousins, the country nicknamed the State of Sakura is recorded always produce up to more than 400 films per year. Knowing that number, it is no wonder that Japan is considered one of the oldest and most productive countries in the realm of the film industry. In fact, Japan is also said to be one of the most existed Asian countries for cinema affairs compared to other Asian countries.

Until now, there are many Japanese-made films that successfully won various awards and received appreciation from the audience and observers of world film.
