Venezuela 💗 💗 💗
"I carry your light and your scent on my skin (...)"
This song has been performed by renowned venezuelan artists, orchestral systems and youth choirs evoking in each word the feeling of all of us who were born on this earth, while reflecting the beauty that is found throughout this paradise.
Along with the "Llanera Soul" (subject of which I will comment on a next opportunity), "Venezuela" is able to give goosebumps to anyone who listens to it inside or outside our country and if you sing it you can put a lump in your throat .
In the 70s the Spaniards José Luis Armenteros and Pablo Herrero wrote these wonderful letters. Originally it was going to be interpreted by Jose Luis Rodríguez - "The Puma" - but it was not included in his music album, so it was first known in the voice of the Venezuelan singer Balbino. There was a belief that composers composed the song without having stepped on venezuelan soil, a fact they denied during an interview.
"I can clarify everything you want from the song Venezuela since I composed it and it is not true that we have not known that wonderful country. (...) We were in Caracas before and during the recording, living in Las Mercedes. On weekends we went to the beach of Higuerote to rest. (...) We met Maracaibo, Canaima, the savannah and the Caribbean. That's what our eyes filled. I think I'm an adopted Venezuelan because I want and I want to be and that song came from my soul."
