True Love Is A Commitment, An Unconditional Commitment That Transcends Feelings

Hello, everyone!!!

Love is not an option. It is a commandment. It is not a one time, one moment decision, but an everyday God-centered mission to love one another.

Love transcends feelings. We don’t fall in love. We grow in love.

True love is not a feeling, it is a commitment. Think of a mother’s love – giving birth was a painful experience, then taking care of the baby especially in the first few months is very challenging. Mothers wake up at all times of the night to feed their babies, etc., and yet moms love their children even if all they do is cry and demand attention. This is the kind of LOVE that shows a real, unconditional commitment! It transcends feelings! If love is dependent on feelings, then it is a shallow kind of love. Look at how God loved his people.

“The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples,but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house ofslavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
