#4/365- We cannot always have what we desire, only what we deserve.
After checking my Steemit this morning, I came across this story on my LinkedIn account.
Wanting to share with you all for I thought, I'm in a state where I do not have an office job for exactly 1 year tomorrow, yet I have $5,000+ extra. (All thanks to Steemit!!!)
This one is a good short story, hope you like it.
A jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at a very big company.
The employer interviewed him, then a test: clean the floor.
“You are hired.” – the employer said. ”Give me your email address, and I’ll send you the application to fill, as well as when you will start.”
The man replied, “I don’t have a computer, neither an email.”
“I’m sorry,” said the employer, “if you don’t have an email , you cannot have the job.”
The man left with no hope. He didn’t know what to do, with only $10 USD in his pocket.
He then decided to go to the supermarket, bought a 10 kg tomato crate, then sold the tomatoes door to door. In less than two hours, he succeeded and doubled his capital. He repeated the operation 3 times and returned home with $60 USD. The man realized that he could survive by this way, and started to go everyday earlier, and returned late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly later, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.
Five years later, the man’s company was one of the biggest food retailers. He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his email. The man replied: “I don’t have an email.”
The broker replied curiously, “You don’t have an email, and yet have succeeded to build an empire. Do you imagine what position you could have if you had an email?”
The man paused for a while, and replied: “An office boy!”
Don’t be discouraged if something is not in your favor today. Better opportunities are always waiting ahead.
I miss wearing my sophisticated office dresses, now I'm just wearing long big shirts and pajamas on a daily basis. But deym I have never felt so free and productive.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still a minnow and a student of life myself, but Steemit creates a big impact and changes in my life. One of them is that I now have a PEACE OF MIND which my previous companies couldn't provide me.
My sanity is what I think my toddler wants me to haveevery day of his life. :) Again, because of Steemit, I am one happy single parent to this super cute sweet boy. Love love love ❤

If not for the situation, the man wouldn't thought of buying and selling tomatoes which helped him to start his way out of poverty.
Listening to our inner voice and doing what it says really helps us in life.
All things happen for a reason. We all must have the heart to listen to our inner voice. :)
Just do what opportunities you have in hand now and things will come in right time.
Ohh.. Like Steemit and how it skyrocket its value! hehe

You are so right @feye, like steemit, we can see how fast moving it is these days. So don't get bored, you can always do something essential to your life.

@collinz, Allow me to be enlightened. I have also noticed you have a stock SBD on your account, may I know what's the advantages not using it to Power up?
@feye I will use it to power up but I always like to monitor the prices of steem, as you can see recently steem has gone up, I powered up more when it was low
The chart would really be up and down, nothing is consistent and even how much it go low or up can only be predicted. Point taken.. Good luck and I wish you well, my friend! :)

You are very right about what your toddlers wants and needs. I am so glad you found steemit so you could be the best parent. I wish that this was available for me when I was raising my 3 kids.

I also hope to start earning more on Steemit, but it is quite difficult to understand how. I'm trying to make good e-learning posts on blockchain and cryptocurrency which should raise interest here. However I don't get meny upvotes at the moment and I have only around 30 followers. I'll try to keep on and continue believing in success.

Believe me no one got their Reputation, Steem power, SBDs and numbers of Followers the easy way.
Your EFFORT and ATTITUDE are one of your tools to having a high and good reputation.
Not that I am already an expert to this, my friend.
I just know that as a fact.
Just be patient, at times we put an effort posting then no one notices, it's fine. What you gain from that is: The chance to ask yourself what's lacking.
I see you are capable of creating quality post already. I guess you just have to improve. And post for you and your friends/follower's interest. :)
Try to think about what interests you and find them here. Follow them. The lesser you follow, the lesser qualitarticle worth to comment/upvote/resteem you missed.
Communicate. 1 comment is considered 1 post. By commenting, you will gain friends, grow followers as they might follow you too. And communicating very well (not the "NICE SHOT, FOLLOW TO BE FOLLOWED, kind of comment) is one of the big factor to risen up your reputation.
Those were just what came to my mind. There's more. Hehe
REMEMBER TO DO NOT LOSE HOPE AND PATIENCE. It doesn't always work (hashtag LUCK) but just keep on going. DO NOT STOP. And enjoy what you do.
If it pressure you TOO much, then you're doing it the wrong way.
STEEMIT should be fun and yeah, challenging. The Platform is not made to be a pressure cooker for those who want to inspire, seek new knowledge and be entertained.. :)
