Gaming contest! Tell me about a game that you like to play and win SBD! (3 SBD prize pool)
Dear Steemians,
As i have reached 100+ followers a few days ago, i have decided to do a contest which will help me to get an idea of which games to stream in the future. On top of that, i will be able to give something back to the community which is something that makes me feel good.
My followers already know that i am into gaming. I have been playing games almost every day since i was 3 years old. That's around 24 years now, which might be something to think about. To be honest, gaming makes me feel good and happy. I'm sure it does the same for alot of other people.
Lets get to the point. I am doing this contest to gain more followers which are interested in gaming. I could have done any other type of contest but i chose gaming as the main focus of the contest to gain followers which will actually like my content.
Rules

Prize pool
Total prize pool will be 3SBD. I will reward 3 winners with 1 SBD each.
Tips
Try and focus on the fact that i am looking for new games to stream on DLive.
If someone else already made a comment about the game you had in mind, don't make that stop you from commenting about the same game anyway. You might have a better way of telling us about the game.
Most important one: Try and make me BUY the game!
Reesteming this post could help me gain more followers who are interested in gaming, it's not a rule but it would be greatly appreciated!
If you are a console gamer and would like to stream on DLive without using remote control applications or expensive capture cards, make sure to check my post about how to get a good stream live for free:

Good luck everyone!

Well my favorite game...
What would be my favorite game? What could it be?
It's not Overwatch though it's fun. I have plenty of games I've truly enjoyed. Heroes of Might and Magic 3. Worms World Party. Undertale. FTL. XCOM: Enemy unknown. Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.
The one which is my favorite is constantly changing.
Now I feel like FTL is one of my favorite games. It's not a perfect game, as it is sometimes too depending on luck.. BUT it is still a game defined by skill.
And it is something really special. It is fun, it's replayable, the music is great. You care for your crew, you fight to live and you fight to win.
The game is full of small and great stories. Great achievements and excitement.
It's a game for us who care about gaming.
Hi apsu,
So good to see you here buddy, thanks for posting an entry.
I'm kinda dissapointed that you didn't go with Overwatch, i thought we had that connection going on... j/k :P
You have mentioned some very nice games, i didn't know about FTL so i went and watched some gameplay on YT. The person playing it was enjoying it and i think everyone who appreciates gaming would enjoy it. It does look like a very old game, but that does not mean it's bad. As you might agree, most old games are still better than most new games.
Thanks again for replying buddy, keep up the good work!
Well the FTL is in minimalistic graphics, but it's not an that old game. FTL was originally released in 2012 so it's already 6 years ago, a major update called FTL: Advanced Edition was released 2014 so this is still in the era of modern computer games.
If you ever find FTL on a good discount, I recommend you to grab it and test it out :)
I will see if i can find it for cheap, i will go for the Advanced Edition if i do tho :P
It seems a little short sighted to restrict the entries to PS4 and PC, because you forget about some of the classics. Like my entry: Legend of Mana (PS1)
Legend of Mana holds a very special place in my heart. It's a beautiful 2D action RPG, and the sequel to Secret of Evermore on the SNES. I love the hand drawn sprites, and the soundtrack, oh god, the soundtrack! Yoko Shimomura composed the score for this game. You might know of her work. She composed the soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts, Guile's Theme from Street Fighter II, and Super Mario RPG.
The game features small quests that can tie into larger quests. One of my favorite story arcs culminates in a showdown with a half demon on the head of a giant zombie serpent. Said demon is resurrecting the serpent to destroy the world.
But what really makes the game special is that a second player can join you, and take over the NPC role. My brother and I...we never really got along. Sibling rivalry was a very real and prevalent part of our upbringing. But Legend of Mana was one of the things that we could come together over. We teamed up against Irwin, slayed dragons, and met the six Wisdoms. It's one of the few happy memories I have with my brother. This is made even more apparent since his Traumatic Brain Injury in 2008. Where it was mere sibling rivalry before, it's now to the point where we really can't spend much time together.
So mine is a little personal, but it's still an amazing game. If you have a PS3, you can buy the game online for $7. It is worth every penny of that.
What an amazing entry this is. I notice it's very personal but that does not make me blind to the fact that you really enjoyed this game. Your entry is valid even though i might not have the correct console to stream this game.
I have a little brother myself which i used to play games with, so i can relate to the relation factor in your story. It's one of the few things me and my brother shared in our youth. We used to play alot of Smash Brothers back then on the nintendo.
While writing this i realize that i might be able to find this game on the PS4. They launched a new project where we can find older games for free as long as we pay the monthly subscription. I will see if your game is in their list and i will actually give it a go if you become one of the winners.
Thank you for participating, great entry!
There's always emulators...
I know there are, i haven't used any for years now but i'm sure i'll be able to find them. I used them a couple of years ago to play gameboy games on.
When in doubt, TheISOZone can help you out. They've got a good community over there.
Hello @ferow, congratulations on your first milestone! 100 followers! this is the hardest one in my opinion. From now on you'll gain more loyal followers, i wish you all the luck in the world.
As for the game suggestion;
I would like to see you streaming Knight online. This is the game that i spend most of my childhood. I met new friends, have wonderful experiences along the way, and enjoy playing. I have been working with several game servers as a graphic designers and this job brings back so much memories from the past.
I love the contest idea for 100 follower. I might do similar thing for myself! Upvoted and Resteemed!
Knight online is a game which i spent alot of time on. In my opinion it's still one of the best PVP games. The sad thing is that it's a rather old game, but the concept of it is amazing. The teamwork that is required to succeed in PVP and the items which groups can farm is amazing. My friends are busy with building a private server for this game right now, i'll be streaming that once it's all live.
Furthermore, you definately should celebrate the 100 followers mark, i think it's special and hard to reach indeed.
Hey @ferow I was alerted to your post by @luanne and she told me that you are doing games! That is fantastic and I'm sure you know how this helps to make life fun! You can tag any of your games with #newbiegames and feel free to also drop your links with a short description in our posts too! We are inclusive and want as many as people as possible to learn about games and how they strengthen the community!
She also mentioned that you are trying to avoid the whale wars, so I will be happy to give you tips on that too!
Hi Dave,
It's always awesome to see support coming from fellow gaming enthiousiasts. I will check out the newbiegames tag and see if it's something for me. Thank you for helping the gaming community the grow, people like you are the real MVP's ;)
Thanks for the compliment @ferow! :) ... And of course I want to help the gaming community, to me that is the type of thing that people will want to come here for. Most people aren't "gifted" with some extraordinary talent, so being able too earn something while they have fun is important to making the platform more relevant!
Its nice to connect to you and I look forward to seeing more of you :)
Wow some really great game mentioned. Haven't played Legend of Mana in a while. I had heard they were going to give it a facelift and re release it, not sure if that's happened yet.
I've mostly been PC games since my son moved out and took the PS4 with him. On the PS4 the only game I really played was Kingdoms of Amalur. I enjoyed it and the story line. I didn't get to play as much as I wanted because the kiddo had his games he played.
Lately my top games are actually throwbacks LOL. The Fallout Series. I finished FO4 with 2 different endings will be going back to get the other to alt endings. In the middle of New Vegas (hit a bug that I can't seem to find a fix for) then got Skyrim (the Elder Scroll v. Skyrim edition) I seem to spend every moment I can play on that. I love how involved the worlds are. Bethesda and Obsidian do make some great game. I just recently got Pillars of Eternity. I like it, it plays like Diablo with the whole click to move thing. Great storyline though. Thought I would start with that. Um....Ark Survival on a semi-private server. D3, Banished and a few others. I like a variety so it depends on my mood. But as I said Skyrim is the main game I'm playing right now.
Haha wow, you mentioned so many good games yourself. I've always wanted to play Skyrim but i was just too afraid i would get too addicted on it and i wouldn't have any time left for something else. It's just such a big game... To be honest every game you called out is a good game. You should stay away from games like ARK tho, i've seen it happen many times that someone would be building for 3 weeks and then the admins would just either wipe them or shut down the server. As you say, to play that you need to be on officials or semi private servers.
Thanks for replying.
I admit it the first couple of weeks on Skyrim I couldn't stay off of it. ARK for me has been they have been adding new expansions and just as I get leveled up enough to start doing something then a new world comes in. I really like Aberration, I had to turn the shaking of since it was driving me nuts. It's beautifully done. And yeah if you're on the main servers it's too frustrating. Our server isn't too bad we only have 3 mods running so not much lag 2x xp, 5x gather and taming is upped a little too. Enough to progress pretty quickly but not too quickly. I've been to wrapped up in Skyrim lately. It's much more laid back and ALOT less farming LOL.
You should share with @newbiegames and @davemccoy
Hello @ferow, Great contest idea. I love gaming, though I play every kind of game out there (video, board, card, roleplaying, etc.). My favorite video game is the Kingdom Heart Series (I say series because they keep packaging these games). The story and art are great. There is also enough to do that it takes time to get through the whole game. Gameplay is also my favorite in that it is in real time (not a huge fan of turn base). I am looking forward to when they finally release Kingdom Hearts III.
I'm looking forward to seeing more posts from you. Good Luck.
I have heard about Kingdom hearts alot and your reply made me go check it out for the first time. I've watched a demo gameplay of kingdom hearts 3 and i've also watched some gameplay of the previous versions. Kingdomhearts 3 looks alot better than the previous ones and i love how many disney characters are in it. Looks like a fun game to play, thanks for your entry!
Congrats on 100 followers! I will say Assassins Creed Origins. I don't yet have that much to say because I'm only 10 hours into the game but...
I love that game takes place in ancient Egyptian time mixed with the modern story as well. Story this far is absolutely amazing and it's so much to do in this game. Of course, it is open world and I love open world games. I am sure that Assassins Creed don't need much of introduction to you. Graphics are also stunning and I can take full advantage of this since I own a high-end PC and can play in ultra with high FPS. I paid full price for this game and i do not regret this!
Assasins Creed series have some very good games in them. I did not like all of them and i also did not play all of them, but the ones that i did play were the good ones. The version you are talking about is the latest version which a close friend of me was addicted to for a while. I've watched him play it and like you say, it's awesome! If i would own a high-end PC however, i would go for PVP games like Overwatch. Maybe you should check that out it might be something for you, you could have a nice advantage above other people if your pc is very good.
Thank you for you entry, i might actually get my friends copy of Assasins creed and stream a couple gameplays.
