Why I chose Steemit
Many of us are wasting several hours on social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and more. This is like a computer game - do not misunderstand, I love it, but we have to admit that this is all burnt time.
Maybe I follow the wrong fansites, but rarely there was useful and very valuable information I could get from the social networks. You look at great and funny memes, laugh and scroll on. Hours for hours. For what? For nothing usable. Quantity is given but the quality leaves something to be desired.
Back to the gaming example: even if this is a very fun pastime, good and productive time management goes differently.
Sometimes, these little pangs of guilty conscience attack me because of "I could have been more productive here and there", "I should not have waste so much time with irrelevant things like that", vice versa.
So lucky I am, I met Steemit. "A social network where you are paid for the interaction and posting." "Not bad," I thought. I am doing what I already do and will be paid for it! Jackpot! But far from it ... The first experience with Steemit was quite different.
I did not meet "shit" known from other social networks but on very interesting and valuable content. Information that can bring me further in life.
There is another, more personal advantage: I feel an urge to write, to share great things with the world - with YOU. I feel the urge also something to give of this great community to which you belong.
It's just fun here, and I hope that if you're a novice like me, you'll discover your personal benefits here, just as I did.
I will probably spend many more hours here, but this time without guilty conscience.
