Three cups chicken *2
This has now become very popular and even synonymous with Taiwanese cuisine but it actually originated in Jiangxi, China. The reason why it has been popularised in Taiwan is that there are a large number of people who are Hakka in Taiwan which originate from Jiangxi.
The three cups are simmered in when cooking and consist of soy sauce, rice wine and sesame oil. To top it off, you'll find ginger, garlic and basil. Of course, like with most dishes, the meats can be substituted with whichever you fancy and you'll often find Pork or even Frog alternatives. Yes, frogs!
