The supercar that never was — BMW i8 *1

This is a BMW i8. One of the first hybrid sports cars. When it first came out, it was a very compelling package with high miles per gallon figures and a futuristic cockpit. The i8 also sports dihedral doors making it look very much like a super car.

In terms of it's silhouette, it rides very low and has quite a lot of road presence. Particularly with it's air vents, aggressive fenders, big side skirts, and mean looking splitters front and back. You would instantly think it is a super car if not for it's performance.
