Healthy feeding for babies
I'd like to talk about the importance of baby's food. It is often said that ' what a child will be in future depends on what s/he is given now.' Feeding a child well helps in their proper growth and development especially in the first 3yrs of life. During this time some organs are still developing thus they need all the nutrients to develop properly so as to avoid complications in the child at a later age.
Some complications which could arise later in a child's life due to poor infant feeding include: a weak heart, poorly developed sex organs and even poor brain development. Hence the need to always watch out what we feed our babies.
From birth, mothers are adviced to feed babies exclusively on breast milk for the first 6months of the child's life. Unfortunately many mother's especially our 'android mums'
don't breastfeed their babies for some shallow reason that they don't want their breast to fall.

Well, as a girl whether or not you breastfeed it is for a fact that the breast will still fall🤷 and nothing can change it. It's better to have this in mind and not deprive the baby of a healthy meal.
Breast milk has enormous benefits some of which are:
- It helps in the contraction of the uterus after delivery
- It helps against breast cancer
- Improves on the child's health and maintains the required sanitation needed to care for a baby.
- Let's the baby grow healthy
- Builds mother and child relationship
- The colostrum found in breast milk helps in the development of the child's immunity.
From 6months, babies can be slowly introduced to normal home meals. Their food should always be prepared separately from that of the entire household.

They could be fed on fufu and okro, pap and other easy to swallow meals. It is also adviceable to include cerelac in their meals.
Cerelac fortifies the baby,enhances the eye nerves, good looking skin n healthy within. contains vit. A n iron. It also encourages good growth of organs.
It is important as parents to always watch out for the wellbeing of our children and first step of doing that is by being mindful of what we feed them.

Some mother’s do face difficulties producing breast milk so they have no choice other than to feed their babies artificial milk.
This true and it's usually with the doctor's supervision and they always recommend the food which the mother's should feed their babies

My baby girl hates cerelac with passion and prefers custard. Does it have the same importance as cerelac?
It has its own importance which may differ a bit from cerelac but it's also a recommended food especially the 3in 1 custard
