ENGLISH--Prolonged Drought, Sunnist Prayer Farmers in Wet Rice

INDONESIA -Kemarau Berkepanjangan, Petani Shalat Sunnat di Sawah Kering
Puluhan petani di Desa Leupe, Kecamatan Pirak Timu, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Rabu (14/2/2018). Mereka melaksanakan shalat sunat istisqa (minta hujan) di area persawahan yang mengering.
Terlihat sawah kering dan tanah mulai pecah-pecah. Tanaman padi mulai kerdil karena kekeurangan suplai air sejak dua bulan terakhir. Selain itu, sumur warga juga kering, sehingga memaksa warga untuk mengambil air sungai sebagai kebutuhan rumah tangga. Bahkan, warga terpaksa membeli air minum seharga Rp 5.000 per jeriken.
Sebelumnya, pekan lalu, warga desa lainnya juga menggelar shalat sunat yang sama. Imam shalat, Tgk Abubakar menyebutkan shalat sunnat itu berharap Allah SWT memberikan hujan pada masyarakat di wilayah itu.
“Kita berserah diri pada Allah, memohon agar turun hujan. Kemarau salah satu cobaan bagi kita dan tentu hanya pada Allah kita berserah diri,” sebutnya.
Salah seorang petani, Muhammad, berharap pemerintah mencari solusi pengadaan pompa air untuk masyarakat. “Sehingga air untuk areal persawahan tercukupi, bisa diambil dari sungai. Kalau buat kebutuhan keluarga, kami bisa ke sungai sendiri,” pungkasnya.
