My friends, rotten onions
This poem is about people I know who deserve better, but the masks they use to be part of society are what they're really becoming.

My friends, rotten onions
You couldn't take care of yourself
And noone cared enough for you.
You were nurtured in the wrong ways,
So you've lost your purpose.
Being born wasn't your choice but
Wouldn't you swear you really try
to make your life worth living?
Despite fighting their poison,
Each and every toxic spray,
Getting ripe was never a thing.
They got you, you're infected.
Some of them wanted to consume you.
Still, after peeling through your layers
They see there's nothing of use.
