the sunday ritual
Its sunday afternoon and for us that is the time to sit in the living room and enjoy our afternoon coffee...
This used to be just regular joe but last year I the whole family pitched in for my birthday and they bought me this fancy coffee machine and since then we have taken our time to create an ever better latte...
This post is not a discussion pro or contra espresso because there really are loads of opinions what coffee is concerned but for us its the Latte that really goes down easy...
Recently we have switched from boiled milk to steamed milk and the difference in taste really is remarkable. If you have the option to STEEM your milk, do so, it tastes so much better. Then last week we found this bottle of Vanilla syrup and could not resist and adding a bit to the milk just hits the sweet spot.
And by taking my time, I really mean that, the whole ritual takes about 5 minutes just for a cup of coffee but on sunday time goes slower so thats all right.
- light up the machine so that it can heat up and reach the right temperature
- grind the beans and slot them in the machine so they also can warm up (apparently it ads to the taste)
- take the cup and rinse it out with hot water (that way the cup already has a base temperature and does not cool off the coffee)
- place the lukewarm mug and let the coffee run (we do about 1/3 rd of the mug)
- then switch the machine to steam (or STEEM as we all prefer)
- add a bit of vanilla syrup to the milk and let the steamer rip away
- spoon in the STEEMED milk and...
ENJOY this STEEMED LATTE
here you can follow the step by step pics...

Lovely blog
thanks, appreciate it
We really enjoy our coffee too. This sounds like a blissful way of spending a Sunday afternoon. Perhaps I need to persuade my family into buying me a machine for Christmas?
you really should, and maybe spend a bit of steem on the steem for your coffee...
