Husky sledding in Switzerland

Last Friday we went to do something completely different. We took leave off work and got up real early to drive to Muotatal (a valley in Central Switzerland) to go to the Husky Lodge

There we arrived at 9 in the morning and were greeted by this amazing fellow and his friends

but the look in the eyes of this dog just pierce your soul...

The experience was set up quite nice in a way that you were explained what happened to these dogs, how they got there (most were rescued from the pound since most people do not realise what a husky really is)

These dogs really have a mind of their own and they are not pets, they are companions with a will of their own and fierce loyalty. They also have a killer hunting instinct and if they manage to run away they do kill all other animals in sight even if they are not hungry.

We got to spend our morning with these magnificent creatures. First getting to know them, then getting them in their harnesses and in front of the sled and then actually sledding them on a set tour.

I am a real dog lover and for me it was really a bucket-list item.

check out the website but book in advance because they are sold out months in advance, hence it is not a cheap experience. So I would really appreciate an upvote on this so I can recuperate a bit and maybe do more stuff like this in the future...
