A significant number of Nigerian Entrepreneurs trade in Bitcoin. Most of them have resorted to the cryptocurrency due to the high fluctuation rates of the Naira-which is Nigeria’s national currency. Investors believe Nigeria has a large potential for cryptocurrency given its endowment of natural resources, especially oil. Over the past few years since the birth of Bitcoin, Nigeria has been the leading Bitcoin Giant in Africa, and the community has been remarkably growing.
Bitcoin could be a remedy to Naira’s state of devaluation. Cryptocurrency could also save other nations contending with large currency fluctuation rates. There are those currencies which are less stable than cryptocurrency which means, the establishment of digital currency in most countries would help them rise from poverty.

In Australia there are 85,681 farm businesses. According to the National Farmers Federation, the complete agricultural supply chain, including the affiliated food and fibre industries, provide over 1.6 million jobs to the Australian economy. Agriculture, however, is one of the least digitised sectors in Australia.
In 2015, Australian startup AgriDigital was formed to fix the inherent problems the agriculture sector was facing, and targeted the economic supply chain with one specific piece of technology: blockchain.
AgriDigital kicked off a pilot in the Australian grains industry to prove the potential of distributed ledger technology (DLT). Using JP Morgan's Quorum protocol -- an enterprise-focused version of Ethereum -- AgriDigital partnered with CBH Group, a grain growers' cooperative that handles, markets, and processes grain from the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia to prove the technology had a place in the supply chain.

3. Government of Malta Passes New Cryptocurrency Legislation

Malta’s embrace of digital currency came full circle Tuesday after lawmakers passed three separate crypto-related bills that could transform the island nation into a blockchain powerhouse.
The approved bills include the Virtual Financial Assets Act (VFA), the Innovative Technology Arrangements and Services Act and the Malta Digital Innovation Authority Act (MDIA).
