Three Reasons Why Steemit Is So Much Better Than Reddit!

in #steemit10 years ago (edited)

Okay, to be honest, I really loved using Reddit for a long time. The platform itself is useful, you can find a lot of funny and interesting things there and of course its user interface is very userfriendly. Just push the up or down arrow to show the author if it is good or bad content. If he is lucky he gets some gold. But what exactly can he do with this reddit gold?

So here are the reasons why Steemit is so much better in my opinion:

1. No neurotic downvoters

While on Reddit there are a lot of people who vote down without checking the content I have the feeling that people here are far more positive and there are no advantages on down voting someone. (please correct me if I am wrong)

2. Steem is so much better than gold

Gold is old. (Sorry for that flat joke. But it's true!) When Bitcoin arrived experts said "Hey, we see the new digital gold in Bitcoin". And yeah, they are right in my opinion: Bitcoin is limited, decentralized and everybody can go and get some "(digital) gold" but without having problems while carrying it away. You can't really use bullions. But you can use Bitcoin daily in a lot of shops worldwide.

Looking at Reddit and Steemit there is the same analogy. Reddit gold is old and not very usefull. What exactly can you do with it?

On Steemit you get a real value from the users because you can really use your tips. Either you change them to Bitcoin and then into Dollars or you let your SteemPower grow and grow and grow what will help you get more Coins.

3. Steemit is new and groundbreaking!

Oh yes! Steemit is growing a lot every day. Just take a look at the charts: https://steemle.com/charts.php
Is Reddit growing that much? I don't think so. It has a lot of users now but if they find out what is possible here and how they can monetize their content in a better way, they will come and join the steem rocket! This is just the beginning and the beta version! Look at the CEO of Reddit who was at the Coinbase office yesterday: https://steemit.com/steemit/@febird/steemit-making-reddit-ceo-nervous-reddit-ceo-visits-coinbase

So my dear fellows. Get to your keyboard and produce quality! :)

It will help Steemit growing and it will help yourself, too! Invite your friends and show them how to steem ;)
