The term storage in the field of agriculture refers to the preservation of the crops which are harvested, the preservation of the seeds and many other products of the agriculture in such an environment which is suitable and safe for them and its purpose is to prevent the loss, spoilage of the products. The purpose of the storage is also to maintain the quality of the products of the agriculture until they needed.
The effective storage is also very important to make sure the security of the food , reduction in the waste and stabilizing the prices in the market.There are many methods that are used for the purpose of the storage of the agricultural products, each design of the method has specific needs and for the specific kind of the types of the crops.
The large buildings designed for the purpose of the storage of the pulses and , the grains and they are named as the Waterhouse. They have such equipments to control the climate changes , they are able to regulate the temperature and they are helpful to prevent the infestation of the pests and spoilage.
