Pirate Monday?

Yes it's Monday, but I went for a little plunder today anyway. You see, family issues have caused me to be alone in a rental property I have. I had no furniture, no nothing, but I got my tools back, and a few essentials, like clothes this weekend.
But I was still basically without any comforts. A friend brought me a futon to sleep on, and I have my camping gear.
So this morning I went to my favorite treasure hunting locations and managed some pretty sweet scores! No gold or silver, no old coins, today was different.
I spent a total of $340.00 CAD today and brought home a nice lay-z-boy, a 40"LED TV, a set of plates and some cutlery!
And then, with a bit of creativity, and some junky shelf that a renter left behind, I'm watching The Grand Tour, and sitting in affordable comfort.
Honestly, being a local treasure hunter has its advantages, I have contacts and acquaintances all over town. Today was great, A thrift shop had just gotten this chair in, and when I mentioned I needed one, they took me to the back to see it. Then, because they've gotten to know me a bit, she gave me an instant 50% off their "floor price". Deal.
Remember folks, when big things are going on, we tend to lose sight of the small miracles that life has to offer. A chair, a lamp, a knackered old shelf and a deeply discounted TV, and I'm back to some kind of normal.

Yeah, I got this. For a while, maybe I don't have much, but I have my sanity. I don't have to live in fear. I need to make some more posts on my other account soon, cause there's people out there, right now, living in abusive relationships, and maybe I can help? I hope so.
I also need to make a special post about the Salvation Army, they are literally the best group of people. And they need all of our help money wise. They helped me, when they didn't have to, and they only know me as a deal scavenger! God, I love that organization.

The Salvation Army is a great organization it is true. They helped out my fam big time years ago.

Thanks Ron. It's not been easy, and it won't be for a while, but, when I think about what I do have, instead of what I don't have. Well, life is still pretty good. My emotions are still weak, self esteem low, and my self doubt is high, but, I think Im getting stronger every day. I have a long way to go to "normal", and maybe never will be there, but I'm fine. And I feel happy sometimes now. I even took my little nefews to watch the Grinch this afternoon, and it was awesome!

Thank you my friend. I've decided, I'm going to come out a better man. Hopefully stronger? I was almost broken, almost emotional/nervous breakdown territory. Thank the Lord for putting people into our lives at just the right time!
As far as the physical... I'm in a nice place, after all, I always refused to be a "slumlord". So this property is a nice place... It's just a bit strange.
