Coffee is the source of caffeine. Caffeine belongs to a class of psychoactive substances, just like cocaine, methampetamine, LSD, to cannabis. However, no party or country has banned the consumption of caffeine. Caffeine can also be found in tea and chocolate.
The content of caffeine in coffee is affected by the species and the level of roasting. Robusta coffee contains more caffeine than arabica. Caffeine in dark roasted coffee is lower than the roasting light level
Caffeine improves focus, concentration, and mood improvements. Caffeine is also believed to reduce fatigue, although excessive consumption can cause insomnia and heart palpitations.
