In Southeast Asia the name "King of fruit" is not foreign to the public, this type of fruit is excellent every year. It is a fruit that has a high enough economic value, so it is cultivated as a source of income in certain areas with a climate that allows this plant to grow well.
The king of fruits is another name for the fruit "Durian" which has another name, namely "Durio zibethinus", this plant develops well in tropical climates and in Southeast Asia is one of them, especially in Indonesia. Durian has a hard skin shape and is distinctive because there are thorns on each surface of the skin of the fruit, durian fruit is also rich in flavor (more likely sweet) with a strong enough aroma and strong enough in the nose.

This fruit is every year when the durian season arrives, especially between July and December, my family and I buy it quite often. Moreover, my wife and first child are also very fond of fruit in the local language called "Boh Drien", Boh means fruit and drien means durian. And in this post I call it Durian fruit, to make it sound popular.
In Southeast Asia, 3 countries have the best quality and taste of a Durian, Thailand, Malaysia, and also Indonesia are 3 such countries. According to the information I read and I know, there are 8 variants of the most popular Durian and some of them have a fairly high price in the market. Some variants of durian include :
- Musang King, for the price per kilo reaches IDR. 150,000 or equivalent to 46.6 Steem. And Weasel King Red Prawn can reach IDR. 450,000 per kilo, or the equivalent of 140 Steems, is the most abundant in the country of Malaysia.
- Durian Montong, Durian is a type of durian that is quite interesting in my country Indonesia. This Durian variant has quite thick meat and seeds that are fairly small, the dominant sweet taste is felt. The price per kilo on sale varies, starting from IDR. 80,000 per kilo or equivalent to 24.8 Steem to IDR. 150,000 or equivalent to 46.6 Steem.
- Durian Black Thorns, durian fruit is according to the story that I know there are many in Malaysia. With a light yellow flesh color and an attractive appearance, this type of Durian variant has the most expensive price per kilo IDR. 320,000 or equivalent to 98.9 Steem.

The strong character of Durian fruit is a very pungent aroma, which is why many Europeans do not like the smell of Durian fruit. Even many of them think it smells very disgusting, this is a little strange to me because I don't think it's that bad. What else about the taste, many Europeans do not like it, whereas in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia this fruit is considered amazingly delicious with a savory sweet taste and of course quite delicious.

But behind the delicious taste and aroma that is preferred by most people in Southeast Asia, The King of Fruit or Durian also has side effects for some people when consumed in excess. The high content of fat contained in each durian fruit seed will cause an increase in cholesterol levels in the body. This will be a big problem for the health of the body, that's why it must be consumed with caution, especially for people who have aged over 45 years.
Whatever the story about this very popular fruit in Southeast Asia, Durian, or the King of fruits is a fruit that continues to be in demand when this fruit season arrives. It is not uncommon for people to always crowd places selling durian fruit when the Durian season arrives, even if they are willing to go into the forest and buy directly from farmers who cultivate this Durian plant. And I was one of them.
