Steem Monsters Journal: Why Ranged Attacks Are Winning

Steem Monsters is quickly warping into a well-balanced game.

The most useful attacks at present imo appears to be ranged attacks. While entirely dependent upon a strong front guard tank, ranged monsters are able to all attack the opponent from the from the front and middle at all times until they join the front position.

What gives them an edge versus melee and magic monsters, however, is the lack of ranged defense debuffs. Magic reflect and shield have only become more prevalent with the introduction of the reward cards, but only the Peak Rider appears to be capable of denting the effects of ranged attacks effectively. And lets be honest, its not often used.
