Steem Monsters Journal: How To Play A Low Mana Format
The strategy behind this game becomes more apparent at the higher level gameplay when cards are more differentiated.
Here are some brief techniques to consider for low-mana game formats:
- Attack the front tank hard. Don't try to be sneaky or snipey, there isn't any time for that. That's just cute.
- High health retaliation as a front tank can often work in place of a strong attacking shielded monster.
- Focus fire on the front tank. This is reiteration, but focus as much damage as possible on the front tank. I suggest using a Highland Archer in the back for the hammer effect.
- More low-mana monsters tends to be better. Recall that the more monsters you use, the greater you split up your opponents damage which equates to more turns for you to pummel him in.
- Diversify. Melee, Reach, Magic, and Ranged should almost always be used in order to optimize attacking the front, making sure you're always able to hit the front enemy monster at all times.
