Assalam o Alaikum I hope that all of you are doing great, today I will be sharing my day with you all and writing my diary about another coding competition I participated in and seminars I attended in AI fest about metaverse.

Morning

My day started at 7:30 am when my alarm rang, it was the near-record low temperature in Karachi due to rain in previous days. I was feeling a little sleepy and was hesitant to leave the bed. Last night, I was preparing myself for a coding competition by solving questions. I changed clothes, had a cup of tea with a sandwich, put on my shoes, and went outside to wait for my friend who was coming to pick me up. After a few minutes, he came and I left for university with him.

Afternoon

Competition was scheduled at 12pm, so we decided to not attend the Chinese class and go for the competition.
At 11 pm we went towards the Auditorium, because about 1 hour was left for competition. So we decided to attend the ideas Hackathon going on in the auditorium. Each participant had one minute to present their idea. It was a good experience to hear those intellectuals talk.

At 11:50 am we left the auditorium to go towards the CIS labs for the competition. There were also other teams from different universities we were going to compete against. Everyone was well prepared to ace it (except us).

Questions were quite difficult, we tried our best. Unfortunate thing was that many problems did not have the option for python language and our team only knew python. We did not win the competition, but it was quite an experience and highlighted our weaknesses so we would make sure to work on them.

At 2pm we left the labs and went to masjid for praying after having lunch at the canteen nearby.

Evening

After the competition we again headed towards the auditorium to attend the workshops going on, I was very interested to attend the Data Science workshop organized by folio3 in AI fest. After that there was a seminar about metaverse and augmented reality in the auditorium, it was very fascinating and I was amazed by the applications of AR that speaker told us about. Here are some glimpses of that talk.

Night

After that long day at uni, I came back at home, prayed and slept for a while. I woke up at maghrib, then I watched an episode of Rick and Morty, after that I read "Homo Sapiens" for half an hour.

This book tells about the history of sapiens, giving us the glimpses of life or pre-agriculture era and how humans lived as hunter gatherers before the agriculture revolution.

After reading the book I ate dinner and went for sleep after spending some time outside with my friends.

I want to end this diary with a quote from Marcus Aurelius.

“Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together,but do so with all your heart.”

It was a good day, although I did not win the competition but it was a good experience about how these competitions work and what level of skill is required to do competitive programming. I learned a lot that day and it was a great experience to attend the workshops and seminar.
