Post-schedule working in SteemPro Tools

in Steem Devlast year

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all are doing well. Since that last announcement of Posting updates we are working on the post schedule feature. We are glad to share that now the testing phase is started and here we are sharing the working of post-scheduling using SteemPro tools.

Posting Authority

Most senior members of the Steem community are aware of this term. In case you don't know, Posting Authority is a kind of permission you give to another account for posting purposes. All the tasks that can be done using the posting key are now what the allowed account can perform. It is the most secure way to handle post-scheduling. You can remove the permission any time you want.

An active key or above is required to allow posting permission to another account. @steempro.com is the official account that will be used to get Posting Authority when any user wants to schedule the post.

The key will never be stored anywhere it only use for granting posting authority once.

Working

To schedule the post you need to pick the correct date and time. The system will ask for posting permission if you already have not set it. An active key or above is required once to grant posting permission for @steempro.com. Once you grant the permission you can schedule the post. In the future, there's no need to add permission again. Your posing key is enough to verify you.

Your post data is saved in the database with a unique id, A bot is running 24H with a duration of 10 seconds, It will check your post schedule time, and when the time is come bot publish your post.

Status

The SteemPro bot changes the status of your scheduled post. You can check your scheduled post whether it is published or not. You can delete or set the post to draft to edit and schedule it again. Note that if your draft the post it will delete the post from the database and now you only have the draft in your local storage.

I found a lot of important information about PostTong key from which there is a lot to know.

Nice, that's what we want to deliver to the users before scheduling the post feature.

Thank you for the update. Although I found most info important enough but may I ask if I can use HTML or CSS for changing text colors or background images in this editor? Thanks in advance.

You can use phishy div for red color text or other colors or CSS is not supported by steemit even if you did it in the editor the preview will not render it. You can use basic HTML tags like bold, italic, quotes, center, etc.

Like this
<div class="phishy">
Like this
</div>

I know this, because I use all these and other codes but I wanted to know mainly about other colors and background images. I guess this editor doesn't support that, thank you!

Yes, the editor has no support for CSS, it is mainly the markdown editor on both Steemit and SteemPro.

Progress is looking good on Steem Pro.

After 5 years on the platform I have recently launched a Steem witness - @pennsif.witness.

You may know me for Steem News, which is now nearing its 500th edition.

As a witness I am running a Full API Node and a Seed Node. Together with the @steemwow team I have also launched Press4Steem, a plugin to connect WordPress sites with Steem.

It would be great if you are able to support my work by giving one of your witness votes to @pennsif.witness.

If you have any questions about Steem, or if I can help you with anything please contact me on Discord at @Pennsif#9921.

Thank you

Pennsif
