STORY

Rencong or Rincong or Rintjoeng is a sacred weapon for the people of Aceh and is a symbol of courage, strength, self-defense and aceh hero from century to century. According to one source Rencong has been known at the beginning of the Sultanate of Islam in the 13th century.

At the time of the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam rencong is never separated from almost every waist (always tucked in front of the front) people of Aceh who on average have extraordinary courage both men and women because this rencong for the people of Aceh is like a soldier with his gun which is a symbol of courage, the height of dignity and the might of the Acehnese.
