DIFFERENCE B/w mass and WEIGHT

in #mgsc8 years ago

It could be very interesting to understand concept of mass and weight ...
images (1).jpg
MASS can be measure as an objects resistance to acceleration . In S.I its unit is kilo gram denoted as kg .
it can be understand simply by this example if an object moves with the force of 1 N it means that its mass is 1 kg .
...We all know that what is force and its unit is Newton ...
similarly,
if an object does not moved with the force of 6 N then it means that its mass is more then 6 kg we have to increase force until it moves let assume this abject moves on force of 9 N then it means that its mass is 9 kg .
it means that no matter where are you in this world if your mass is 73 kg you need at least 73 N force to move ....

weight is something different from mass and but very interesting .
weight is a force of an object due to gravity .
Technically, weight is a force . and we know that unit of force is Newton . so ,
is that mean unit of weight is also Newton???
its answer is
Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes...
But generally , We calculate weight in kg .
it could be right at the same time it could be wrong .Because in normal life , mass is not more practical but using weight is more simple and applicable .

The machine used for calculations also measured weight not mass on the base of force 9.8 N and makers give instructions to machine to give calculation on the base of 9.8 N force . it means that if machine feel 9.8 N force then it shows 1 Kg weight
our weight could be different at different place basically weight is force due to gravity so it changes due to gravity .
it could simply understand by this example and object is placed on earth and its weight is 100 kg but if this object is placed on moon its mass should be 16.5 kg . because gravity of moon is low as compared to earth .
similarly ,
if an object weight measure at Canada its weight is 100 kg at the same time it measured in a country named Peru is 99.3 kg ...
So for accurate calulation and result it is essential to use local machine which is locally instructed ....
Hope you enjoy this .
