Every country of course has national festivals or celebrations which are held regularly and have become a tradition. This festival or celebration is eagerly awaited by most people in general to be celebrated with great joy and joy. People will make various preparations to welcome the festival which is usually held once a year. Indonesia, which is a large country and rich in culture in various regions, has various festivals or special celebrations in almost all regions from Sabang to Merauke.

One of the national festivals in my beloved country, Indonesia, that gets attention is the celebration of National Independence Day. This celebration coincides with August 17 every year. To welcome the celebration of Independence Day, every government and private office as well as houses or shops, especially those on the side of the road, will be decorated in various forms, especially with red and white flags. Along the road it is also decorated with various colorful attributes so that it looks festive to welcome Independence Day.

Various activities and competitions will be held before the peak of the Independence Day celebrations. All activities and competitions were carried out as a form of gratitude to welcome the celebration of the liberation of our beloved country from colonialism. The morning begins with a flag ceremony which will be held at every government office and educational institution. At the school where I work, we also hold various competitions to welcome the Independence Day celebrations. Meanwhile, on the 17th, the flag ceremony peak was held which was attended by all teachers, education staff as well as students.

Festivals are cultural and social events that bring people together to celebrate and enjoy various forms of expression, music, art, food and traditions. Festivals can be held by the public or privately to express certain things so there are no special rules for celebrating them. Festivals are celebratory events, where people gather to enjoy, have fun and share experiences. One of the festivals held in my area to welcome independence is a carnival. This carnival event was held the day after the independence celebration event on August 18.

During the carnival event, a cultural parade was held where participants consisting of students from kindergarten to high school level wore traditional clothing from all regions in Indonesia. The participants paraded along the city streets according to a predetermined route. The festival or celebration is also enlivened by marching bands as well as health teams and security forces to anticipate unwanted incidents. Usually in these cultural festivals people will flock to watch and the streets will be very jammed with participants and spectators.

In the celebration or festival welcoming independence in the form of a carnival parade, all participants wear traditional clothing or traditional clothing. As many as thirty traditional clothes from all over Indonesia were displayed in this cultural carnival. All traditional clothing and equipment worn by participants is provided by each parade participant. Participants don't only wear traditional traditional clothing, but there are also those who wear professional clothing such as teachers, doctors, soldiers, office workers and police. Food is usually provided by each participating team and enjoyed together.

I have many sweet memories of celebrating festivals or carnivals welcoming this Independence Day. The most memorable thing is of course watching the participants enthusiastically take part in various competitions to win prizes. There were many funny incidents that made me laugh watching the participants struggle until they won. This reminds me of my childhood when I struggled to become a winner in the various competitions I participated in and is almost the same as the various competitions today. I feel like I want to go back to my childhood so we can play this traditional game together.

That's my post for taking part in this challenge and I also invite friends invite @patjewell, @wilmer1988, @suboohi, @dirapa, @tocho2, @stef1, @pandora2010, and @goodybest to take part in this contest.

Regards,
@fadlymatch

Of course every country has their national day, which is being celebrated regularly or yearly which yours is not an exception. It is called independence day just like my great country Nigeria. And every shops and houses that are situated on the road sides would be decorated with red and white flag, I can just imagine how colourful the ambience would look like. And the carnival floats consisting of students from kindergarten and high schools would parade on the predetermined route.
