It's the night of the champion, the best football event in Europe and even across the globe. The best are pitch against each other. Today games was already decided some few weeks ago. As a football lover and an analysis I wasn't expecting anything other than what happened tonight

Walking down memory lane, Manchester united has always found themselves in a difficult situation in overcoming any Spanish team when it come to champions league, therefore, I wasn't surprised that after a 90minute of game played at Ramon Sanchez pizjuan stadium ended in a goalless draw some three weeks ago, then I know Manchester united is already out of the tournament.
My Observations
Sevilla coach (Montella), know what he needed and he played the joker while Manchester united coach (Mourinho) got his tactics wrong and even made a worst substitution. Manchester united is playing at a higher advantage, with the likes of lingaard, rashford and lukaku starting the match but they lack a creative midfielder. The tactics to catch the opposition from the flanks refuse to work. Sevilla capitalize on the absence of a creative midfielder to take over the affairs of the midfield and thereby penetrating at will. They dictate the proceeding of the game with more clear chances. Mourinho made a wrong substitution, he needs fellani off that match and could have brought in mata instead of pogba. Mata will have help stabilize the midfield and also create the opening the wingers need to operate.

Eventually, Montella tactics works, weaken the midfield them make the defence labour before introducing the main striker, immediately he brought in the striker, he got the goals he needed, though Manchester united tried to come back with reducing the deficit of the goal but the are already crashing out of the tournament and eventually they crashed out

Roma vs shakhtar donetsk

A very entertaining and interesting match but I will commend Roma for punishing Donetsk.
The first was an opportunity for donetsk to win they match but rather they prefer to hold the ball too much and also refuse to go for goal. They could have open up Roma defence with their creativity and the flexible players they had in their squad. Roma wait patiently and took the average chance they had then utilize it. The games was full of thrilling moment. I love it.
It's a pity shakhtar donetsk had to found themselves out of the tournament(UEFA champions league 2018).
