The death of steem
Don't buy the hype!
you're using and have probably made a few bucks from a social media platform! That didn't happen previously, ever, despite claims to the contrary from various scammers.
And now, the hard part: how to position steem well in the long-term?
what are we....
- Economic entity
- Online social community
- Software development lab
- Forum
- Blog
- Political Statement
...and more, I think. Please, discuss.
Steem is a blockchain. It is imperative to first begin creating new interfaces and economic models with steempower backing them. My two cents.
My last penny is tip: add an image ;)
Steemit or STEEM?
For me, it's the community of Steemit that is important, but there is a qualification here: it's not a single community and so it's not "we". There's a whole bunch of communities here, I'm sure. And one of those interaction graphics, non-trivial without doubt, would show this.
This leads to another idea: if there actually are different communities building on Steemit, and the meta-community somehow learns to accomodate this, there is a huge potential for growth to be had in embracing the otherness of different platforms, different coins even. We don't have to be exclusive.
And my last pennyworth: it's great to see a post without a picture or gif or footer. Message, status-line, thank you.
Steem is a place for bright minds to gather and discuss innovative solutions to real world problems.
