The lawmakers in a motion sponsored by the chairman of the committee on poverty alleviation, Muhammad Wudil, said every Nigerian and the members of the Green Chamber is feeling the pangs of poverty. motion by the lawmaker followed the letter written to the Lower House by President Buhari for the presentation of the 2018-2020 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP). Buhari said: "The MTEF and FSP were prepared against the backdrop of a generally adverse global economic uncertainty, as well as fiscal challenges and recovery in the domestic economy to ensure that planned spending is set at prudent and sustainable levels and is consistent with government’s overall developmental objectives and inclusive growth.” Also, speaking on the matter, another lawmaker Nicholas Ossai said most of the infrastructural projects in satellite towns had failed.
