To the end - story
Have you ever heard about place called Slunj? Of course you didn't unless you are from Croatia of course. Slunj is a small town in Croatia with around 5000 citizens and one of them is Luka.
Luka is a 14 years old boy who is dreaming to become the world famous actor. He is still in primary school but he has decided his life path and he promised himself that he will not give up on his dream no matter what.
Four years later when he finnished high school he applied for Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, which is 65 miles away from his hometown.
Unfortunately they were only excepting 6 students per year and his grades were not good enough to be in the top 6. For him drama section was the only option so he didn't want to apply for any other college so he spent next year studying, studying and just studying.
He was extrelemy good prepared and the result was obvious, he was in top 6 students and finnaly his first goal was achieved.
Only few weeks after schooling started his father died from heart attcack and Luka had to return to Slunj to help her mother because his mother was not able to work and he had 2 younger sister who were still in primary school and kindergarten. His family had no enough money so Luka accepted job on the construction site to earn some money for his mother and sisters.
Five years later he earned enough money for his family to endure for a while and he went back to Zagreb to try make his dream come true, but once again he was not good enough to be in top six. Next year he done the some thing he did few years ago, only except this time he had to work and learn at the same time.
At the age of 25 he was finaly a student at Academy of dramatic arts and this time nothing was able to stop him. He was one of the best students and all professors said he has a huge potential to become a great actor.
One day on his way home after drama section class he suddenly fell on the floor and lost consciousness. He woke up in hospital and doctor said to him he has
lung cancer diagnosed.
For the first time in his life he thought he won't become actor, he lost all hope....
After 10 years of treatment his condition got better and doctor said he is cured.
Luka went back to Slunj and started working on construction site again as a physical worker. One day his youngest sister applied him for tv commercial filming, Luka said he doesn't want to go because there is no hope for him any more. Sister replyed him: "I won't try to persuade you, i know you won't let you dream vanish." And that's how it was.
Luka went on commercial filming and met his old professor from College there on filming. Professor recognized Luka and ask him if he wants to go to America with him. They are filming movie and they need more people in cast crew. Luka accepted with huge smile on his face and tears in eyes.
After only 1 year in America Luka had so many offers to act in movies that he had to decline some of them.
Never give up on your dreams.
