I Met God in the Morning

I met God in the morning
When my day was at its best,
And His Presence came like sunrise
Like a glory in my breast.

All day long the Presence lingered,
All day long He stayed with me,
And we sailed in perfect calmness
O'er a very troubled sea.

Other ships were blown and battered,
Other ships were sore distressed,
But the winds that seemed to drive them
Brought to us a peace and rest.

Then I thought of other mornings,
With a keen remorse of mind,
When I, too, had loosed the moorings
With the Presence left behind.

So I think I know the secret,
Learned from many a troubled way;
You must seek Him in the morning
If you want Him through the day.

My Reflection

It is good that we will start our day with prayer.

pray not only because we need something but because we have a lot to thank God for!

If we do, he will always guide us in evrything that comes our way. He will help us in times of trouble - for everyday has its own kind of trouble just enough for our strenght to solve. And his mercy is enough to satisfy our needs.

Believe then that He is near to those who call to him -
who call to him with sincerity. Let him be our daily guide so we may be able to see the best in people, have a heart that forgets the bad doings of other and a soul that never loses faith in Him.
