Early Signs of Summer Brings Back Fond Memories
The goodness of a rich, beautiful heatwave continues to bring joy to everyone in the neighbourhood. Whilst taking a stroll in my local park this morning, I took a shot of this patch of greenery with a dome-shaped building in the distance. This is the park I used to play in when I was but a nipper. From 5 years old and onwards, some of my best memories from my childhood were spent here in the place. And captured in the background, our local sports centre.
A few years back, they knocked down the entire structure to rebuild it from the ground up. I find it to be much better now after the enormous refurbishment project was completed. Before that, it certainly looked very different. In fact, if anyone wants to see what it used to look like, check out the movie "Ali G - In Da House". This park and the old version of the sports centre feature predominantly at the beginning of that movie.
Another thing I remember as a kid was the constant weeks of nothing but glorious sunshine during the long summer months. Within the past several years, it seems that hot climate I grew up in, changed drastically. But on days like this, it serves as a welcome reminder of the precious days of yesteryear. I do love reminiscing about my past, especially with these scenic visual glimpses of what life used to be like.

Good to see you got a Summers day in London too, and yet, what will it be like today, wouldn't it be good if we got a string of great weather days on the bounce rather than just the completely random ones we get these days!
