Turning "90" Never Felt So Good!
Back in July 2016, I discovered this platform called Steemit. I then started blogging on here consistently from around September of that same year. And we're talking pretty much non-stop, if memory serves me right. Fast forward to today and I'm over the damn moon, thanking my former self for doing all that he did. Another huge personal milestone checked off for me today. Reaching 90k SP used to feel a little like a dream to me at one stage, but not anymore it doesn't...
Eariler today, I've found out that people are imparting their visions about this blockchain and where it could be headed. Now, as great as I think that is, there is one other aspect to this discussion which could be considered just as important. That of the vision regarding what success means to you on this platform and where you see your own future involvement on here. In other words, what are your own personal goals and what are you actively doing on a daily basis to achieve them.
That's pretty much been the mentality I've adopted right from the start. The overall projection of what the blockchain will look like in the future is down to the incredible developers and innovators of this blockchain, of which they are quite a number, I'm pleased to say. But the only way to be a part of that potential future is by literally pushing yourself into a position whereby you are maximizing upon the opportunity offered here. And from a personal standpoint, I put that down to myself persistently trying to accumulate SP, the powerful engine under the hood of this blockchain and key ingredient to making the whole thing gel together as well as it does.
Of course, there are plenty of others way higher up than I, in terms of SP status. And I say, thank the lord above for that. Because this only proves that I'm not the only person on here who thinks this way. Concentrating and focusing on your "own" journey, minus all the frivolous BS and political rhetoric constantly doing the rounds, seems a winning formula on Steemit. Everything else (especially the stuff that is out of your hands) will take care of itself. So who ever proclaimed hard work, patience and discipline never pay off?
As I say, I'm no one special. Just your regular guy next door who stumbled upon this blockchain and decided to give it a shot. That's all it takes. Now, onto the final hurdle and my hopefully ultimate destination. of hitting that magical "100k"! :)

Lol, well, I can only hope you... I mean, "rea", is proud of me!!!
And myself jumping into the Thames would most likely cause a tidal wave and then flood. So not sure about that last bit, for all our sakes! :)
Congrats on the milestone! 100k in no time! I agree that we make of this what we want given the opportunity still available for early adopters! I am pushing towards 20k!
