The SUN has reported that City are planning to offer the England international a new deal that would see him take home £170k every week.

Stones was a joy to watch in the world cup and he helped them get to the last four of the competition. The player hasn't released the tottle yet as he's been in fine form for City's first two games.

According to the news, Manchester City are planning to reward the player's efforts with an improved deal. The new deal would see Stones become one of the highest paid at the club.

The player, 24-years old, already has a contract that pays him £120k weekly and wasn't suppose to expire till 2022. City wants to ensure that the player keeps his mind at the club with the new bumper offer as they hope to successfully defend their title.

Fans are happy and believe that the new deal is a good one. Stones couldn't play more with the first team last season because of injuries but he should back and better now.

John Stones has played Manchester City's first two matches despite the fact that he's only just returned from holiday and he's not looking ready to rest just yet.
