How are you guys doing?

A big thanks to this great blockchain for a better forum and medium,enabling good environment for skillful and creative writers. I hereby put down in my writing,the basic ethics I have learnt in this blockchain. It is very important and against the rules of this great decentralized blockchain if it's not met.

INTRODUCTION

Introducing you to some of the basic ethics and norms guiding steemit blockchain, here are the following terms which stands as great standard and rules guiding this platform. Below are the rules and ethics, they are;

1. Plagiarism
2. Sourcing images
3. Proof-of-brain(creativity).

Plagiarism: in steemit blockchain, we are told that it is a decentralized system whereby there are no central body in control of the activities of other users. Although, in a great sense exists a medium whereby users and fellow bloggers engage themselves in so many copy and pasting works, moving far away from the major objectives and rules this blockchain which is creativity. The prove of brain is the most important ethics a user should always have in mind before making any form of article ready for publication. Due to the lazy and nonchalant attitude of members, the rule of pllagiarism is used to describe people's or writers who fall in this line of deformity.
Definition of Plagiarism
In my own understanding about plagiarism, I will define it as the act of being aware in literary piece of work of another person. It means the act of copying what others have written and making it your own. this does not only mean copying but also imitating others work thoroughly without any innovation. We have various forms or types of plagiarism. They are;

1. Self-plagiarism
2. Word-to-word plagiarism
3. Rephrasing plagiarism
4. General or global plagiarism
5. Patchwork plagiarism

Self-plagiarism: while describing self-plagiarism,we say that it is when one reuse his personal work or article that has been submitted before. In steemit blockchain once a work have been submitted, it's not advisable to present it as a new one as it has already been credited.
Word-to-word plagiarism: as the name implies, word-to-word plagiarism is copying someones work directly from his or her document without acknowledging him or any attribution. It can also be referred to as verbatim plagiarism.

Rephrasing plagiarism: this is the type of plagiarism that involves the copying of somebody's work or then paraphrasing it in your own words. Although paraphrasing is not plagiarism, but when you copy ones work without citing the source, it becomes plagiarism.
General/global plagiarism: the word 'general' in this particular form of plagiarism,is copying the entire entire work of someone and making it as your own. This kind of Plagiarism is a deliberate action of one copying one's work to become his or hers.
** Patchwork plagiarism:** this is the act of copying out different phrases from an author's work and putting the phrases together to make a new work or a new meaning. It does not only stand in phrases but can also be seen when a full passage is recreated to make a new article.

** SOURCING IMAGES**
Another form of ethics in steemit steemit blockchain is sourcing image and giving attributions to even a free copywrite photographs downloaded online or websites. Hence, image sourcing according to my own knowledge is the process whereby an author after downloading an image either from Wikipedia or elsewhere, tries to credit the author by giving attribution to the images inserted in his or her work or article.

The word creativity in steemit blockchain can also be referred to as proof-of-brain. The word creativity stands to mean being able to use your true imaginations to produce or reproduce a useful idea or piece of work that will be useful for public consumption. It goes beyond creating items to being original in ones work. The creativeness here means the originality of the author in his or her work.
CONCLUSION
I hope to have been able to enlighten you on some basic ethics guiding us here. If we can be able to keep to the rules and norms of this great platform then, the sky would not just be our limit but, it will go beyond that. Also to keep it true,I have really learnt this rules as some basic etiquettes of this great blockchain and I promise to keep to the rules. Steemit would always be a nice place for us.
