THURSDAY COLORCHALLENGE - GREEN
Green everywhere you look---trees with their late-spring bright green leaves, green reeds reaching up out of the pond, and even the water itself reflects a deep bottle green. Only the beautiful mama swan sheltering her youngsters in the reeds offsets the green with her perfect white feathers.

You are lucky to have a body of water by your home and to get to see such beautiful birds! They are building more communities where I live and it's affecting our wildlife drastically. It's not uncommon to see starving little foxes roaming around and coyotes trying to jump in our yards to eat pets. It's so sad.
That's so very sad. I can't stand to see little creatures suffering like that. It's too bad developers/planners can't leave some wild spaces or find a way to keep some natural habitats.
The pond is at a park which I'm very grateful to live near. I love to watch all the critters.
