Vlog 288: Listening to the Steem Witness Forum recording this morning.
As you can imagine my head was a little rough this morning :)
And as luck would have it the Witness panel recording by witness @aggroed was released.

The show always starts with a talk with @andrarchy, Content Director for Steemit.
He had some very interesting things to say this morning.
First of all, the team is making great progress when it comes to scaling and easy signups. That's always nice to hear.
Also they are improving their communication with the community through the @steemitblog and @steemitdev blog.
Good accounts to follow if you like to be up to date.
But what stood out for me was this.
The Steem blockchain is an open source protocol that can add value to entrepreneurs and developers and will empower them to tokenise the content web.
It should give you a good idea where the focus of the team is at the moment.

Great things require great time to mature and we should be a person of patience. Steem is still in early phase and it has to go a lot more.
Signups were big issue of late...Glad to know the team is working behind in rectifying it. Hope the process becomes quick and easy, without new users kept waiting for weeks....

When it comes to Lama (lamb), some compare it to sheep 🐑 in Europe when it comes to meat. But I think the meat tastes diferent.

You have got me even more Excited when you said @ned was going to Asia (Korea) to further develop
awareness of STEEMIT and that will only bring in more Content Creators and Investors the way I look at it. Mark so many things POSITIVE things Happening here and that is why I like #steemwillmakeyourich
The witness talks are amazing to listen to, especially live when you can read both the chat and listen to the audio. I also see Steem as a future competitor to ethereum and tokenization and we already have a great advantage over eth which is no transaction fees.
The birthday party sounds great fun @exyle. Glad it went so well! You don't look too bad considering! 😁
Growth and stability problems are good if they are caused by genuine users by the level of spam and spam accounts I'm seeing seems to be increasing exponentially. Is there no way to control those or is that always going to be an issue with decentralisation?
I agree the bigger picture of tokenisation is worth remembering when thinking about Steem. And Steemit is just a little bit.
