Completing my first fast and what happens when you cross 999 calories on the Crosstrainer?
Yesterday at 8pm my 16 hour fast began.
I don't eat many snacks in the evening in general so that was pretty easy.
When I woke up at 7am though I was hungry.
I am used to eating breakfast but I had to skip it.
I made a Black Coffee instead and checked Steem and did my Steem Monster Daily's.
At 9:30 I went to the gym.
I read that near the end of a fast it's the best time to exercise so I changed my schedule a bit and went earlier.
I arrived at the gym and got on the Cross trainer.
I was expecting to have the strength of a wet newspaper but instead I crushed it!
I think this is the first time I crossed 999 Calories on a machine and I could have kept going.
I was secretly hoping for a more spectacular changeover (maybe some fireworks or something..on screen) but at-least it didn't change back to zero.
My food window opens in 30 minutes from now and I'm starving.
Not the 'I could eat' kind but the "FUEL ME NOW KIND".
Looking forward to my first meal.
So far this fasting is pretty interesting.
I'm wondering where I stand in a couple of weeks.

i heard that fasting is actually very good for the body system. I like food too much. lol. I have completed a 12 hour fast. I was miserable
yeah not just for the body but the mind, you become more alert, especially when the body goes to ketosis

It sounds like you are crushing it! Just make sure you don't totally binge when you break your fast. Also make sure you are staying hydrated. Listen to me acting like I know what I am talking about. :)
For the fasting, could you eat breakfast and lunch, then skip dinner? I think that would work better for me, but I don't fully understand the science.
I don't think it matters where in the day you put your 8-hour food window. Whatever works for you. But I'm no expert. I just went with the easiest option I could find. From 12 pm till 8 pm.
That’s great for you man! I’ve been doing my Fasting diet with only 1 meal a day since 12/31/2018 till March 20 I use to eat meat and then I become vegetarian! And I’m very proud of it! It’s just amazing! I was taking about my diet in my vlog every Sunday but because of the lack of interest people I stop doing it.. if you really interested in fasting I can give you some guidance about that.

I did intirmittant fasting and it worked for me. Need to get back on it, and today I will start again. Thanks for reminder. Honestly, the part I had the biggest problem with was black coffee. I like mine with some milk, soy or almond. I have a tip for you. Eat an extra serving of low cal/sugar vegetables right before dinner. Can of green beans is what I often do, but also cabbage, butter nut, artichoke, okra, butternut squash, mushrooms. Helps fill the void and satiate!

IF is a great way to accelerate results! It gets tough 1-2 weeks in but smooth afterwards as you get used to it.
