Awesome food at Makro while bulk shopping.
I like bulk shopping.
It's much cheaper than buying the same product every week from our local store.
I usually go to a place called Makro every 6 weeks for bulk.
This time among other things I bought 24 packages of coffee saving around $1,30 per package.
Which might not sound like much but it does add up.
But I like Makro for another reason.
They have a food court in the centre of the store where you can eat restaurant quality food for cost price (they are not allowed to make a profit, only use it to promote products in the store).
I have given up trying not to go there....it's just too good.
I had a steak sandwich and Bianca a Flank Steak.
Both medium rare.
It was perfectly prepared and very tasty!

Holy crap! That is awesome! We have a bulk store near us that my wife and I got a membership to. We go maybe once a month when we start running low on the stuff we need. They have a food court, but it is nothing like that. The most they have is pizzas and hot dogs. I'd be there every week if they had food like yours. We do get free samples of stuff as you walk through the store, so that is cool!
The food here looks awesome. Perfectly done! I like to buy in bulk too. It keeps the costs down and I don't have to shop as often.
I had no idea that Makro did restaurant food @exyle. I wonder if the ones in the Uk do as well. I'll have to ask around.

I am a fan of HANOS for their variety of foods and great selection of fruits/wines/meats! I haven't tried MAKRO yet, I have the card sitting around somewhere... I was quite dissapointed with Sligro though... bulk shopping is great, but I often spend too much on things that I don't really need, but just want to try!
I was at Hanos today, I got several bottles of wine to try out and some plum wine from Japan....but I kept it all in budget luckily!
I do have a HANOS pass and that store is next level when it comes to fresh foods, wines and produce hands down. Makro will probably disappoint you if Sligro did.
But Makro is closer to my house and they have stuff in bulk (like coffee, washing powder) that I would not go to Hanos for.
Oh okay, I'll stick to Hanos and AH then!
Totally agree with you. Love the Makro in Breda, there is an older guy (with a red hat) who is very passionate to tell stories about the meat he's selling there. He always has some nice pieces at the back he loves to show (and sell 😜 ). I always return home with more meat than I actually wanted to buy... Don't know how that happens 🤔
Foodcourt is with the new Makro style really a great addition. The older restaurants I didn't like that much. But the new concept is really great indeed. And your dinner looks yummie! 😋

I thought they changed the concept somewhere around 2015/16 or something. Need to search my mail if you want to know it for sure?
Here in Venezuela there is also a big market called in the same way and sells products to the greater which as you say comes out better at the time of purchase and also has additional establishments to enjoy some food while you do the shopping, btw that dish Looks delicious I hope you enjoyed it
For sure I would like to go there regularly as well if it was close to my place!
