Just got back from watching the new Dumbo remake. It’s the first of atleast 2 more ...
... remakes that I know of (lion king, aladdin). I love the character of Dumbo but the animated film from 1942 made me sad I remember when I was little. Well...this new one is no different for 34 year old me. I would suggest this new film for people that like to look at a beautifully made film that makes you feel depressed. But it’s just not for me. It’s not Dumbo’s fault by the way he acts and looks beautifully. I’m hoping for better feelings with the other two remakes although my heart already fears that 1 particulair Lion King scene...
I like Dumbo because at least there is no Elephant in the room anymore as it flies now.
They already remade the jungle book as well and that came out last year or the year before.
I dont know if I can watch Aladdin. Anyone besides Robin Williams playing the genie just feels wrong.

O yeah they did! Jungle Book was pretty decent. I'll watch Aladdin but to top Robin Williams genie you gotta be on your A game indeed.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I have seen the trailers for this and I kept commenting to my wife that it looked really weird compared to the cartoon version that I remembered. Then I was reminded that Tim Burton directed it and that made all the sense in the world to me.
